Fire Evacuation Process

  • 1. Alarm Sounds (alarm can be voice or bell)

    • Stop all activities immediately.
    • Leaders take control.
    • Begin evacuation at once.
    • Ensure all in the building hear the alarm.

  • 2. Gather

    • Gather all young people immediately.
    • Form a single-file line.
    • Young people remain with the group.

  • 3. Sweep and Secure (Only If Safe)

    Second Floor
    • Check:
      • Pigsty
      • Utility room
    • Look:
      • Behind tables (utility room)
      • Under table (Pigsty)
    • Shut:
      • Windows if open
      • Doors after checking
      • Shut windows in the activity room.
      • Check bathroom and shut window.
    Upper Floor
    • Check shower area.
    • Shut windows.
    • Shut activity room door.
    • Check bathroom and shut window.

  • 4. Evacuation Route Decision

    4a. Primary Route (Stairwell Clear)
    • Use the main stairwell.
    • Proceed to evacuation.
    4b. Secondary Route (Stairwell Blocked – Top Floor Only)
    • Move calmly to rear windows on the top floor.
    • Exit onto the flat roof.
    • Adults go first and last, assisting young people.
    • Keep young people away from the roof edge.
    • Call 112 immediately and inform them people are on the roof.
    • Remain together and await fire service assistance.
     

  • 5. Evacuate (Primary Route)

    • Exit calmly in single file.
    • Leader at front and rear.
    • Assist younger Scouts on stairs.
    • No running or pushing.
    • Last leader shuts doors on exit.
     

  • 6. Muster & Roll Call

    • Proceed to Bredovsky Dvur Restaurant.
    • Conduct roll call against the attendance register.
    • Resolve any discrepancies immediately.
    • Keep young people together and calm.

  • 7. Relocate (If Required)

    • Move further down the road to Kantyna Restaurant.

  • 8. Emergency Calls

    • Call 112.
    • Inform them of:
      • Fire
      • Number of people evacuated or on the roof

  • 9. Parent Notification

    Inform parents of:

    • Situation
    • Pickup location
