Why join Scouting?

Every year Scouting helps young people enjoy new adventures; to experience the outdoors; interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Working alongside our youth members are adult volunteers, with a huge variety of roles and opportunities available.

Youth membership is open to boys, girls and young people aged 6 to 25.

Beavers Cubs Scouts

‘Scouting offers young people adventure that’s hard to find anywhere else. We challenge and inspire our kids to become the best people they can possible be.

These are just a few of the reasons why I’m so proud to be UK Chief Scout. Kids find a sense of community and camaraderie at Scouts, building friendships with others all over the world. We offer adventure to people from all walks of life and of all ages. Life is about adventure, and that’s something we know all about’.

16th October 2018 - Scouts - Blind hockey and Troop Forum

The Scouts had a Troop forum and decided on their new patrol names, so welcome to the Hawks, Barn Owls and Wolves. They also came up with some new ideas about what could included in the Troop programme after Christmas.

Finally they had a great game of blind hockey to get used to the dark when they are on the night hike at the weekend!

The whole meeting was held in a local park as our meeting place was being used tonight so it got a little dark towards the end of the meeting.
